Lance Harden Named SoCon Runner of the Week

Lance Harden has been selected the Southern Conference Men’s Runner of the Week for his performance at the Blue Ridge Open Saturday, the league office announced Wednesday. It is the second time Harden has won the award this season.
The philosophy major from Apex, N.C., placed fourth overall and was the second collegiate finisher at the Blue Ridge Open in Boone, N.C. His time of 25:02 on the 8K course marked the third time Harden has recorded a Davidson top-10 mark this season.
Harden led the Davidson men to a second-place team finish, only one point behind the winner, High Point University. He has led the ‘Cats all season, and was named the September SoCon Runner of the Month.
Next up for Harden and the Wildcats are the Southern Conference Cross Country Championships on October 31 in Elon, N.C.
