• The Wildcats complete their Charleston Classic Tournament with a 10 a.m. showdown against Penn State in Carolina First Arena.
• The ‘Cats are in the middle of a stretch where they play five games in 10 days.
• Davidson is 1-2 all-time in Carolina First Arena with the victory coming last season against College of Charleston, a 79-75 win.
• The Wildcats are coming off an 84-70 setback to La Salle Friday night.
• Davidson returns 10 lettermen and two starters from last year’s team, which posted a 27-8 record and split two games in the postseason NIT.
• The Wildcats lost 59 percent of their scoring and 44 percent of their rebounding from the 2008-09 squad.
• The personnel losses are nothing new for the Wildcats. Davidson lost seven seniors and four starters from its 2006 NCAA Tournament team and managed to post a 29-5 record and advance to the NCAA Tourney in 2007.
• Seven Wildcats are averaging six points a game or more and eight players are averaging 13 minutes a game or more.
• The Nittany Lions are coming off 63-60 loss to Tulane Friday.
• Penn State has eight newcomers on its squad and does not have a senior on the roster.

• The ‘Cats and Nittany Lions have never met on the hardwood.
• It’s the second straight game Davidson has played a school for the first time. Friday’s game against La Salle was their first meeting.

Charleston Memories
• Davidson has fond memories of tournaments in Charleston.
• The Wildcats won three straight Southern Conference tournament titles in Charleston. All three tournaments were played in the North Charleston Coliseum.
• The ‘Cats also won the 2002 SoCon Tournament in the North Charleston Coliseum.
• Davidson is 14-3 in SoCon Tournament games in Charleston.

Leftovers from La Salle
• It was the most points for Barr since the senior had a career high 23 against The Citadel as a sophomore.
• Davidson has lost three straight games for the first time since the 2007-08 season, when the ‘Cats lost to Duke, Charlotte and UCLA early in the campaign.
• The Wildcats have only lost three straight games in a season in four campaigns this decade (2009-10, 2007-08, 2004-05, 2000-01).
