DAVIDSON, N.C. - The 3-on-3 tournament in support of Nothing But Nets takes place May 3 in Belk Arena, and the online silent auction with 11 quality items has already begun.

Bids can be made here and wil be accepted until 4 p.m. May 3. Those attending the event will still be able to participate in the online silent auction as computers will be set up in the arena, and volunteers will be available to facilitate the bidding process.

The tournament is a double-elimination event for 3rd-8th graders, who will be split into three divisions, with 10 teams in each. There are four players on each team, and the registration fee is $50 per team. Teams are asked to raise extra money by getting sponsors, and teams will have the opportunity to choose a Davidson player to be their coach through a draft based on the amount of money they raised. All participants will get a free t-shirt to be worn as a jersey during the competition. A live auction with five items will take place after the tournament.

“Nothing But Nets” is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing nets for families in Africa to aid in the prevention of malaria and other insect related diseases. For just $10, you can provide a net that can protect a whole family from a disease that kills approximately 3,000 people a day and someone every 30 seconds.
