Davidson Golf Finishes 13th at Spring Hill Suites Intercollegiate

FLORENCE, S.C. -
Davidson junior Bobby Urso and freshman John Skeadas each shot a three-round total of 216 to tie for 23rd at the Spring Hill Suites Intercollegiate at the Country Club of South Carolina Tuesday.

Urso shot a 71 in Monday's first round and followed that with a 69 in the afternoon before shooting a 76 today. Skeadas, playing in his first collegiate tournament, fired a 70 in Monday's first round and followed it with consecutive 73s.

The Wildcats placed 13th as a team, four strokes out of 12th, in the 16-team tournament. The event featured eight teams from the Southern Conference and was won by Georgia Southern.

Christopher Rollins finished the tournament with a 223 (74-74-75), and Walker Allen had a 226 (75-77-74). Jackson Taylor posted a 228 (74-78-76).

The Wildcats are back in action at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 24-27.
