DAVIDSON, N.C. -- The Davidson Wildcats won 18 of the 19 events contested Friday night, sweeping the VMI Keydets in dual meet competition at Cannon Natatorium. The Wildcat men downed the VMI men, 160-54, while the Davidson women defeated the Keydets, 69-36.
The Wildcat men kicked off the competition by winning the 4x50 medley relay. Sophomore

Miller Williams and senior
Brad Carman combined for a first-place time of 1:37.72. Sophomore

Tennant Brastow, junior
Patrick Whitman and sophomore
Joe Burquist finished second with a time of 1:41.71.
In his final competition at Cannon, Williams also won the 50 free with a time of 22.56.
Onken finished first in the 200 free with a time of 1:46.09, followed by classmates
Wills Cooper (1:50.56) and
Ben Wilde (1:52.10). Onken also finished second in the 100 free (49.64) to Peitz (49.21).
Cooper won the 500 free with a time of 5:00.47, followed by Brastow (5:06.89)
Sophomore
Brian Seo won the 1000 free with a time of 10:05.33, and classmate
David Kerman finished first in the 200 IM (2:02.10). Brastow turned in a runner-up time of 2:02.21 in the event. Seo also finished second in the 200 breast (2:19.42) to junior
Ben Lucas, who won the event with a time of 2:17.27.
Sophomore
Curtis Chaney was the other individual event winner for the Wildcats, winning the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:02.43, just ahead of Lucas (2:06.43).
Junior
Bryan Droll, Whitman, Carman and Williams also combined for a winning time of 1:28.86 in the 4x50 freestyle relay.
VMI's James Goodwillie won the lone event for the Keydets, finishing first in the 200 back with a time of 2:02.37, ahead of runner-up Seo (2:04.41).
In limited competition, the Wildcat women were also successful against the Keydets. Freshman
Lillie Seifart won the 200 free with a time of 1:56.88, ahead of classmate
Allison Cottle (1:59.33).
Junior
McKensie Carr also was an individual event winner, winning the 50 free with a time of 26.62, ahead of classmate
Hailey Szymczak (27.36). Sophomore Casey VanTassell finished first in the 100 free with a time of 54.98, while sophomore
Lauren Kamperman was the runner up with a time of 55.20. Sophomore
Meagan Madden won the 200 back (2:22.02), and Szymczak had the top time in the 500 free (5:47.49).
Seifart, Cottle, Hobbs and freshman
Jean DeOrnellas combined for the top time in the 4x50 freestyle relay (1:42.99).
The Wildcats swept the diving competition, with senior
Linnea Buttermore winning the 1-meter event with a score of 249.02, and Nick Taylor winning the same with a score of 119.11.
Davidson returns to action tomorrow, traveling to Virginia Tech for a 1 p.m. dual meet.
