LOS ANGELES – Davidson men’s soccer senior
Charlie Reiter garnered yet another postseason honor, as he was named to the 2009
Jewish Sports Review Men’s All-America College Soccer Team in the January/February edition of the
Jewish Sports Review.
Reiter scored 12 goals and eight assists for 32 points after starting all 18 matches for the Wildcats, earning Southern Conference Player of the Year and first-team All-South Region honors. The Westport, Conn. native was among the national leaders on offense, finishing the season ranked sixth in points per game (1.78), eighth in goals per game (0.67) and 29th in assists per game (0.44).
The
JSR All-America team represents the third All-America team that Reiter has been selected to. The Collegiate Sports Information Directors Association elected him to their
ESPN the Magazine All-America first team, while the National Soccer Coaches Association of America elected him to their adidas Scholar All-America first team.
Reiter, a political science major who boasted a 3.48 GPA, is a two-time SoCon Academic Honor Roll selection, a member of the Davidson Scholars program, and was a member of Team USA in soccer at the 2009 Maccabiah Games in Israel last summer.
