Field Hockey Adds Two More to Incoming Freshman Class

DAVIDSON, N.C. –
Davidson field hockey head coach Ginny Sutton announced two additional members of the Wildcats’ Class of 2014 on Wednesday.

The additions of Bethesda, Md. native Lee Crittenberger and Zwolle, The Netherlands native Floor Wolfhagen expand the ‘Cats’ incoming fall class to seven.

Student-athlete bios:

Lee Crittenberger
Position: Midfielder/Forward
Hometown: Bethesda, Md.
High School: Georgetown Visitation


Coach Sutton: "Lee is an excellent athlete. Her competitive spirit and work ethic will provide a spark for the team, and her coachability and speed will help tremendously in her transition to collegiate athletics"

Three-year varsity player for George Visitation … received the Sister Bernadine Award in 2008 in recognition of her spirit and skills on the field … ended this past season with a 14-2-2 record and made it to conference championship game … named First Team All-DC 2009 as a midfielder … played one year on U.S. Futures … traveled to New Orleans with team in 2007 and 2009 to do community service … also a four-year varsity swimmer … was named Most Improved 2006-07 … captained team for 2009-10 season … took first place in breaststroke at ISL Championship meet in 2010 … on the honor roll all four years … participated in yearbook club … studied abroad in Ireland and Spain.


Floor Wolfhagen
Position: Midfielder/Forward
Hometown: Zwolle, The Netherlands
High School: Zwolle


Coach Sutton: "Floor is a creative player with strong fundamentals and great specialty skills. She is also a very knowledgeable player, and as she acclimates to U.S. field hockey, she will bring a lot to the Wildcats on and off the field."

Played for Zwolsche Mixed Hockey Club for six seasons beginning in 2004-05 … captained MB1 team to first-place ranking and national playoffs in 2008-09 … captained MC1 team to second-place ranking in 2006-07 … was on MD1 team (2004-05) that placed second.
