Davidson Hands Out 2009-10 Athletics Awards

Seniors Kyri Bye-Nagel and Charlie Reiter, the recipients of the Rebecca E. Stimson and Tommy Peters Awards.
DAVIDSON, N.C. — Davidson College has announced its award winners for the 2009-10 athletic season, including the Tommy Peters Award (senior Charlie Reiter) and the Rebecca A. Stimson Award (senior Kyri Bye-Nagel), honoring the college’s top male and female athletes.

In recognition of their outstanding dedication and contribution to intercollegiate athletics, senior Bryant Barr was presented with the Thomas D. Sparrow Award, while first-team All-SoCon pick senior Virginia Berry received the Susan K. Roberts Award. Swimmer Mid-Major All-American Honorable Mention Drew Onken, was recognized with the Helen DeVane Carnegie Award, presented to Davidson’s most outstanding freshman athlete.
