Davidson Draws Marquette in Second Round of NCAA Tournament

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Riding the nation's longest winning streak and coming off its second straight Southern Conference Tournament title, Davidson was tabbed the East Region's 14th seed and will take on the third-seeded Marquette Golden Eagles (23-8, 11-4) in the second round of the 2013 NCAA Tournament Thursday, March 21 at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Ky. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:10 p.m. on truTV.

The winner of Davidson's second-round matchup will advance to face the victor of the game between sixth-seeded Butler and 11th-seeded Bucknell.

Making their 12th appearance in the NCAA Tournament and sixth since 2002, the Wildcats have won a national-best 17 straight and enter their contest with Marquette 26-7 overall.

Davidson is 8-12 all-time in the NCAA Tournament with its last appearance a 69-62 setback to fourth-seeded and eventual Final Four participant Louisville a year ago in Portland, Ore.
