A-10 Announces Opponent Pairings For 2015-16 Season

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — The Atlantic 10 Conference announced Thursday the women's basketball league opponent pairings for the 2015-16 season.
Davidson, entering its second year in the league, will face each of the 13 conference opponents during a 16-game A-10 slate. The Wildcats will play eight home and eight away games.
The home and home series this year will see the Wildcats face Fordham, Saint Louis and VCU, making it the second year in a row they will face all three teams twice. In addition, the 'Cats will host Duquesne, George Mason, George Washington, Massachusetts and St. Bonaventure, while playing on the road against Dayton, La Salle, Rhode Island, Richmond and Saint Joseph's.
The A-10 sent five teams to the postseason at the conclusion of last year. A-10 Champion George Washington and Dayton both earned bids to the NCAA Tournament with the Flyers making a run to the Elite Eight. Duquesne, Fordham and Richmond all took part in the 2015 WNIT, with the Dukes advancing to the third round.
The 2016 Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship will be played March 2-6, 2016 at the Richmond Coliseum.
The complete 2015-16 Wildcat women's basketball schedule along with dates for the A-10 opponents will be released at a later date.
Davidson returns all five of its starters, including its top-three scorers and rebounders in Hannah Early (14.4 points / 6.6 rebounds per game), Mackenzie Latt (11.6 / 8.2) and Dakota Dukes (9.1 / 5.5). The Wildcats will be entering their sixth season under head coach Michele Savage.
