
'Cats Close Out Regular Season With 68-63 Win At St. Bonaventure

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Davidson picked up a 68-63 victory over the St. Bonaventure Bonnies to cap off the regular season on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats improved to 19-12 overall and 10-8 in conference play.
Sam Brown, Nick Coval, Hunter Adam, and Parker Friedrichsen all scored in double figures for the 'Cats. Brown led Davidson with 15 points. Nine Wildcats scored in the game. Davidson's bench outscored St. Bonaventure's bench 27-7.
The game was tied 24-24 with 7:25 left in first half. Davidson went on an 11-2 run and took a 35-26 advantage. JQ Roberts tallied four points during this stretch. The Wildcats shot 48.8 percent from the floor in the first half and led 36-33 at intermission.
With the 'Cats up 45-43 and 12:11 left in the second half, the team caught fire again with a 14-2 run. At the beginning of this stretch, Sean Logan cashed in on an and-one opportunity. Sam Brown also sparked the 'Cats with five points during this period. The Davidson bench erupted when Manie Joses scored in the paint and got fouled.
The Bonnies closed the gap with less than two minutes in regulation. Davidson was up 61-58 at the 1:20 mark. Parker Friedrichsen went 6-for-6 from the free throw line in the final 90 seconds of the second half, which helped seal the victory.
