2008: Had 32 appearances, the third most in a season in school history and his five saves are tied for the seventh most in a season… walked just 13 batters in 37 innings while striking out 21… threw three scoreless innings to pick up his first career save vs. Georgetown (2/23)… tossed a scoreless frame at Auburn (5/4)… had a stretch of four appearances without giving up a run (4.2 innings) and logged two saves… earned his fifth save after throwing 1.2 scoreless frames at UNC Greensboro (5/16).
Prep: Named to All-Conference and All-County teams at Middle Creek High School for coach Jeremy Thompson… Posted an 8-2 record with a 1.25 ERA as a senior with 41 strikeouts and just 11 walks… school’s all-time career leader in ERA and second all-time in wins… team won conference championship twice and appeared in the state quarterfinals during his career… also lettered in varsity football and basketball becoming the first Middle Creek athlete to letter in all three sports… National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, class vice president and SGA vice president… Recipient of IBM Thomas J.
