Ways to Make a Gift to Athletics at Davidson College
ANNUAL GIFTS
Annual donations designated to the Davidson Athletic Fund (DAF) provide scholarship and operating funds to build, support, and maintain Davidson's 21 NCAA Division I athletic teams. DAF gifts can be directed to any of Davidson College's 21 NCAA Division I teams. To make an annual gift now, please visit our giving page. Some scholarship commitments may qualify as annual gifts to Davidson. For more information, please contact a member of the DAF staff listed below.
SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT
Pooled athletic scholarship funds
Alumni may now contribute to a pooled athletic scholarship fund with a commitment of a Ne Ultra level gift for four years. Alumni may designate their gifts to specific teams or to the general athletic scholarship fund for men’s or women’s teams.
Named current use athletic scholarships
A named current use athletic scholarship may be established with a minimum commitment of $10,000 per year for four years for a total commitment of $40,000.
Young alumni (0-10 years since graduation) may establish a named current use athletic scholarship with a $25,000 commitment over four years. This can be accomplished either individually or as a group. For example, five young alumni committing a minimum of $1,250 per year for four years for a total commitment of $25,000 from the group.
Endowed Scholarships
A named endowed athletic scholarship may be established with a minimum commitment of $200,000. Named endowed basketball scholarships may be established with a commitment of $1,000,000.
**Davidson Football is a member of the Pioneer Football League, a non-scholarship league for NCAA Divsion I-AA schools. Because Davidson football is a non-scholarship team, athletic scholarships cannot be established for football.
