What does it mean to you to be a Davidson student athlete?
I feel that being a Davidson student athlete means constantly being the underdog—but in a good way. With the school’s small size and level of academic rigor relative to other Division I institutions, I have seen that it takes a special breed to be a student athlete here.
What is unique to you about being a Davidson student athlete?
At Davidson, we truly embody what a student athlete ought to be. Not only is it important to excel in our sports, but in the classroom and the community.
What would you like to say to donors who make your experience possible?
I am very grateful for the generous contributions made to Davidson athletic programs through the DAF. As a recipient of the Ellington-Fagg wrestling scholarship, I’m not only receiving a lessened financial burden, but get the opportunity to represent and honor lifetime Davidson man, Coach Dave Fagg.
If you could talk to all the alumni members of your team to motivate them for the Wildcat Top 21, what would you say?
Davidson athletics relies on the generosity of alumni to remain competitive. We are already doing fairly well, but we still need more support. Especially in Olympic sports like wrestling, every contribution helps immensely.
