• The game caps a three-game road swing for Davidson, which is in the middle of a stretch where it plays five of six away from home.
• It's the second ranked opponent Davidson has played this season. The Wildcats opened the campaign at then 10th-ranked Butler Nov. 14, and lost 73-62.
• Davidson is 13-76 when playing a ranked opponent and has lost its last six.
• Davidson is coming off a 67-55 SoCon setback at College of Charleston.
• Gonzaga is coming off a 79-40 home victory over Augustana Wednesday.
• This is the Zags' seventh appearance in the Battle in Seattle, and Gonzaga owns a 3-3 record. The Zags have lost the last three, all against ranked opponents.
• Gonzaga has won six of its last seven, including a three-game stretch to win the Maui Invitational.
• The Bulldogs return six lettermen and one starter from last season's 28-6 team that advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
• Four Zags are averaging double figures in the scoring column, led by Matt Bouldin with 16.8 points a game. Steven Gray averages 13.6 points an outing, while Robert Sacre and Elias Harris average 11.9 and 11.8, respectively.
Series History
• Davidson and Gonzaga have met once before - in the first round of the 2008 NCAA Tournament at the RBC Center in Raleigh, N.C.
• Stephen Curry hit 8-of-10 3-pointers, scored 30 of his 40 points in the second half and hit the tie-breaking 3 with a minute left to lead the Wildcats to an 82-76 win.
• Curry's two free throws with 14.5 seconds left iced it for the Wildcats.
Jason Richards added 15 points and nine assists for Davidson.
• Andrew Lovedale had 12 points and one of his 13 rebounds came on the offensive glass, which led to Curry's deciding 3-pointer.
• Steven Gray hit seven 3s and scored 21 points for Gonzaga, which had an 11-point second-half lead.
• It was a frantic finish, with Davidson taking a 73-72 lead on Max Paulhus Gosselin's 3-pointer with 4:11 to go. But after Lovedale's free throw, Gonzaga tied it on Jeremy Pargo's driving layup with 1:45 left.
• Lovedale, who had his first career double-double, then tracked down a Davidson miss, setting up Curry's 3 from the right wing.
• Pargo added 18 points, and Gonzaga shot 51 percent.
• It was Davidson's first NCAA Tournament victory since 1969.
Leftovers from College of Charleston
• The loss broke a 30-game Southern Conference regular-season road win streak for Davidson.
• The Wildcats debuted black uniforms for the first time this season.
• Davidson has dropped three straight to College of Charleston.
Claw Marks

• As of Dec. 9, the combined record of the non-conference teams Davidson has lost to this season is 32-10.
• With 112 career games played, Steve Rossiter and Bryant Barr are both 18 games away from the school record, set by Andrew Lovedale 2005-09.
• The Wildcats played their first four games away from home. It's the first time they have started a season with four road games since 2000-01. Davidson opened the season with three contests at the Top of the World Classic in Fairbanks, Alaska, before traveling to Georgia Tech that season.
• It's the latest Davidson has opened its home schedule since the 2002-03 campaign, when the 'Cats' first home game was Nov. 30 against Washington & Lee.
Archambault Nearing 1,000 Points
• Senior Will Archambault is closing in on becoming the 38th Davidson player to score 1,000 points in his career.
• He needs 168 points to reach the mark.
