Layup Line
• Davidson's current stretch of six games in between home contests is its longest during the regular season since the 1999-2000 campaign when the Wildcats played seven straight away from Belk Arena.
• One of the nation's longest-tenured active coaches, Bob McKillop will be coaching in his 700th collegiate contest Saturday.
• Five Davidson players are averaging double figures through the the first two contests.
• As a team, the Wildcats are shooting 42.3 percent from downtown while making 11 3-pointers per game.
• Since 2006-07, the Wildcats are 51-30 (.630) in road contests.
• Davidson is 19-5 in its last 24 contests, dating back to the last game of the 2011 calendar year.
• The Wildcats were tabbed Southern Conference preseason favorites in both the media and coaches poll.
• Junior De'Mon Brooks was voted Preseason Player of the Year by the league's 12 head coaches, while Jake Cohen and Nik Cochran were selected preseason all-conference.
• Davidson returns all five starters and its top eight scorers and rebounders from the 2011-12 team. Ninety-eight percent of the 'Cats' scoring and 94 percent of their rebounding is back in uniform this season.
• The Wildcats are led by two SoCon Players of the Year. Brooks earned the honor from the SoCon coaches, and Cohen got the award from the media association. While the media association (began voting in 1951-52) and the coaches (began voting in 1989-90) have differed on their selections over the years, it's the first time two players from the same team have split the honor.
• Brooks was also named the SoCon Tourney MVP, while Cohen earned all-tournament
honors.
Bob McKillop was named SoCon Coach of the Year in the coaches' poll. It's his eighth SoCon Coach of the Year distinction.
• McKillop has led Davidson to 25 wins or more in four of the last six seasons.
• With last season's NCAA?Tournament appearance, every four-year player in the Davidson program since 1994 will have played in the “Big Dance.”

Series Notes
• Tonight's meeting marks the first ever on the hardwood between Davidson and
UW-Milwaukee.

Last Time Out
• New Mexico went 38-of-44 from the charity stripe and erased a 16-point deficit to get by Davidson, 86-81, early Tuesday morning at The Pit, as part of ESPN's 24 hours of College Hoops Marathon.
De'Mon Brooks paced five Wildcats in double figures with 22 points on 7-of-14 shooting and a 7-of-8 performance at the line. Chris Czerapowicz, Tyler Kalinoski and Clint Mann each added 12, while JP Kuhlman finished with 10 to go along with a game-high nine assists.
• With the Wildcats up, 58-45, following a Tom Droney layup at the 14:18 mark, the Lobos went on an 18-4 run and took their first lead of the contest, 63-62, on a pair of Hugh Greenwood free throws with just under eight minutes to play.
• The two teams traded points over the next five minutes before four straight points from Kirk broke a 70-70 deadlock and put New Mexico up for good with 2:41 remaining.
• The Wildcats made just 38.5 percent of their attempts after intermission to conclude the contest at 42.2 percent (27-64) and 40 percent (12-30) from long range. Davidson (1-1) also finished 15-of-20 at the line for a 75-percent clip.
• New Mexico outrebounded the Wildcats 27-7 in the second half to hold a 45-28 advantage.
• Davidson, which opened 9-of-15 from the floor, scored the first 10 points of the contest and extended its margin to 25-9 thanks to 11 early points from Mann, who drilled his fourth and fifth career 3-pointers during the spurt.
• The Lobos, who matched their second largest comeback in school history at The Pit, shot 40.7 percent (22-54) overall, but was only 4-of-17 (.235) from behind the arc.

Preseason Lou Henson All-America Team
• Junior De'Mon Brooks was recently named to the 2012-13 Preseason Mid-Major All-America Team.
• A year ago, the SoCon Player of the Year was voted to the AP Honorable Mention All-America Team.
