DAVIDSON, N.C. – Junior Ann Fucigna collected the Wildcats' first Big South award in Davidson's inaugural year in the conference, garnering the Choice Hotels Big South Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for games spanning from March 5-12.

The Wildcats' single-season record holder in goals (51) and points (74), Fucigna paced the team with seven goals in two games last week vs. Vermont (L, 10-12) and at Oregon (L, 6-7).

She netted a season-best four goals, including three of them in the first half against Vermont. The attacker then registered her third multi-goal game of the season with a team-high three scores at Oregon. For the week, Fucigna fired off 16 shots and put 12 of them on goal.

The junior, who was a two-time National Lacrosse Conference First Team pick in 2011 and 2012, has a team-high 10 goals to push her career total to 110, which is good for fifth all-time in Davidson's record books. She is sixth all-time with 144 points.
