‘Cats Receive First At-Large Bid; Play Iowa Friday

DAVIDSON, N.C. – For the first time in school history, Davidson has received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament as the Wildcats will be the South Region's 10th seed and take on seventh-seeded Iowa Friday at 7:20 p.m. (EDT) on TNT in Seattle, Wash.
The winner of Davidson's second-round matchup will advance to face the victor of the game between second-seeded Gonzaga and 15th-seeded North Dakota State.
Making their 13th appearance in the NCAA Tournament and seventh since 2002, the Wildcats have won 10 of their last 11 and enter their contest with the Hawkeyes 24-7 overall.
Davidson, which won the Atlantic 10 Regular Season Title in its first year, is 8-13 all-time in the NCAA Tournament with its last appearance a 59-58 setback to Marquette in 2013.
